John Le Carre: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
old book revisited (*****)
Sharon Stiteler: Disapproving Rabbits
Not quite as funny as the Bunny Suicides or Bad Cat, but for bunny aficionados, it's a must. Hermione and Nala Disapprove. (****)
The Science Fiction Hall of Fame, Volume Two A: The Greatest Science Fiction Novellas of All Time Chosen by the Members of The Science Fiction Writers of America (SF Hall of Fame)
I've never read much science fiction. Maybe never hit the right books. But this anthology was a "best of" and I enjoyed pretty much all of them, though the last in the collection was pretty much a downer. (****)
Peter Nichols: Evolution's Captain: The Dark Fate of the Man Who Sailed Charles Darwin Around the World
An absolutely fascinating book. (*****)
Christopher Paolini: Eragon (Inheritance, Book 1)
A bit derivative, but considering it was written by a teenager, quite an accomplishment. It will be interesting to see wha this writer does when he's older. (****)
Robert K. Massie: Romanovs:, The: The Final Chapter
Grim, but interesting. (****)
Gregory Maguire: Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

I'm a work in progress...
I live in Tacoma WA with one rabbit and one guinea pig and an oversized 20 years old foster son.
A native of Tampa FL, I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1986. I work for the City of Tacoma as a chemist and for fun I take 3D photographs and sometimes pretend to be a gardener.
Having been affected by someone else's drinking, I have been a grateful member of Al-Anon since 1994. For the last year I have been an Alateen sponsor and am now experiencing life with teenagers.
Arthur, my partner of 30 years, passed away in 2008.
